One of my flyers announcing the workshop in Cahors

We've already entered the final month of the year. Just a few more weeks and we'll be moving on to the year 2026. Before that happens, we still have a lot on our agenda: today, the first day of December, my father, Theo's father-in-law and Ampa (Maastricht dialect for Grandpa) to Julie, Wouter, and Daan, is celebrating his 93rd birthday! It's a shame we can't be there, but "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you..." is still going to be sung via video ;) Then it's Sinterklaas' turn, who unfortunately has a somewhat lesser impact here in France than his main rival, Santa Claus.

On December 10th, the lifestyle magazine Eat, Drink & More, South Limburg will be released. It's also published in Haarlem, but as Eat, Drink & More, Haarlem, Kennemerland. You should definitely keep an eye on it, because it includes a great article about us and our Wine Week . We're even featured on the cover!

On December 11th, I'll be giving my first workshop in French (exciting...): "Au-delà des frontières," based on my book . Very fittingly and quite coincidentally (because does coincidence even exist?) at the "Auberge sans frontière" (Auberge without Frontiers) here in our village, Dégagnac. Two days later, on the 13th, I'll be celebrating my birthday; I'm curious to see what they have in store for me... On December 20th, I'll be giving another workshop, this time at the "Jardin des Thés" in Cahors.

A few days later, Christmas is finally here!! Daan gets to celebrate his birthday on the 24th (yes, a real Christmas gift!), and a few days later, the family arrives from the Netherlands to see out the Old Year and ring in the New Year.

December is a very filled month for us (ah, why does that remind me of Christmas pudding? ;), where tradition, family, coziness and togetherness are the main themes.

We wish you all good preparations and a happy lead up to Christmas!
